Born in Lusaka, Zambia on the 4th June 1980, Malenge
Terence Ngondo aka Styles MC; The Briefcase Bandit, The Glad Hand, lived
and studied there until he moved to England in 1990 for study purposes.
He completed his General Certificate in Standard Education at Bedford
School, Bedfordshire in 1996 and remained there another two years to
complete his A- Levels.
Although never deciding to take up music academically Styles maintained
a great interest in music spanning a collections of hundreds of albums.
On his trips back to Zambia in the 90s he managed to fit
in a fair number of DJing gigs (a hobby of his) for Cosmopolitan Night
Club, Black Velvet night club and Sugar Shack Sounds to name a few.
He did his first vocal performance with his brother and MC, Dangerous
Guy aka Your Daily Bred, at Zambia’s first major Hip Hop Competition
‘The Million Kwacha Rap Contest’ in October of 1998 hosted
by Chisha Folotiya aka Love Bug, ( TV Presenter, ‘Carte Blanche’ in South
Africa and owner of ‘Tiyende Magazine’ and ‘Mondo
music; major brands in Zambia, and Trendsetters youth Magazine.
This also allowed Styles MC the opportunity to do radio interviews and
skits on Radio Phoenix (still one of the largest private radio stations in Zambia).
Going back to University in England in January 1999, Styles focused
mainly on his computer studies Djing only occasionally at the local
Hall of Richmond International University in London and on some occasions
West End London clubs, but there were no vocal performances to be seen
during the years 0f 1999 to 2004 but Styles MC still continued to write
music and lyrics, writing songs for friends in College bands but his
own material was never recorded until he returned back to Zambia in
September 2004.
Since then he has gone back to his production and song writing roots
producing over 150 tracks over the last 10 years. Sounds include Hip
Hop, R n B, House, Trance, Break Beat, Garage, Drum N Bass, Jazz/ Swing,
Reggae and Pop.
After choosing to release 'The Demo' Album first (a compilation of tracks
from his first 5 albums) in 2007, His first Dance record ‘Ascendance’
and his first Hip Hop and R n B double album ‘Ghost
Stories Vs Radio; The Interview’ were release in 2011. All
of which were under online Sony/ BMG and Itunes agents. With The World
Gone Sad video and single released in June 2012, Styles MC went on to
host and promote 'The BSE Blast Off' Party at Hollywood City Night Club
(Lusaka, Zambia), with celeb guests and performance from other artists
in the industry including Lil Trey, Swagga Nama Cheeky and Others.
Styles MC also does some acting having appeared in the Award winning 'The Kitchen Party' in 2006 and more recently appeared in Diamond TV's Inkulo Series.
Styles MC's last release in 2014, under his label Bomb Shelter Entertainment, produced
and recorded BSE- The Remixes vol. 1, a studio remixes compilation which is now
under release through reverbnation.com agents and available on Itunes,
Amazon, Spotify and other major online retailers.
Styles MC and the BSE label are also currently recording a compilation
album for the Foreign Legion group called ‘The Zed Allstars’
and working on a mixtape called ‘2 Kool 4 Skool’ that will
feature unreleased tracks from the 90s and early 2000.
